Nam June Paik Art Center presents an exhibition
by eobchae and Ryu Sungsil from October 1, 2019 as the second part of the 2019 Random Access Projet. eobchae, an audio-visual production consisting of three artists - Nahee Kim, Cheon-seok Oh, and Hwang Hwi -, mainly showcases works that address social issues from a critical perspective using and adopting contemporary audio-visual media which have been spreading at an accelerated pace in the post-internet era, such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The House where the Spirit of Nam June Paik lives on
From 2001, the idea of building an institution dedicated to Nam June Paik was discussed with the artist. During these conversations Nam June Paik expressed the wish that this new institution become "the House where the Spirit of Nam June Paik lives on."
Opened to the public in 2008, the Nam June Paik Art Center, aspires to fulfill the artist’s wish by informing its activities through the development of creative and critical research into his thinking and practice.

Nam June Paik Media ‘n’ Mediea explores the message embedded in “Nam June Paik Media” which not only acutely captured the contemporary society, but also envisaged a new future through the artistic intervention in technology, and therefore, is still so contemporary and alive.
SEOULLO MEDIA CANVAS Special Exhibition Nam June Paik’s City: from New York to Seoul
Nam June Paik’s City: from New York to Seoul, co-organized by Seoul Metropolitan Government and Nam June Paik Art Center, presents Suite 212(1975/1977). This exhibition screens Paik’s videos at SEOULLO MEDIA CANVAS located in Malli-dong Plaza from September 21 to December 19, 2019. Suite 212(1975/1977) comprising 30 short videos, features New York in the 1970’s in forms of electronic collage.

Winning the 2018 Nam June Paik Art Center Prize, Paglen established himself as one of the most outstanding artists with his work that merges visual art with geographic mapping, investigative journalism, and scientific data collection, and reveals what is invisible but in operation behind technological control and surveillance today.
